The landscape architect designed the trail utilizing black locust due to its rot resistant qualities that hold up in this harsh climate. We graded every board per NHLA guidelines to Select & Better on the best face and also custom dried to the material to 18% to 20% to ensure stability, matching the equilibrium moisture content, or “EMC” of the local climate.
