Trusses, Framing and Roof, Cary, NC
Using our Black Locust, REdesign.build built the trusses and framing for the new container barn at burkettfarm.
They chose Black Locust for a multitude of reasons, including its natural hardness, rot- and pest-resistance, Appalachian roots; fast growth; nitrogen contribution rate, and the pollinator capabilities of its flowers.
Black Locust Riverside Boardwalk – Peaks to Plains, CO
This beautiful boardwalk is part of the award-winning Peaks-to-Plains trail in Golden, CO. It is made with long-lasting and sustainably-harvested Black Locust decking boards supplied by Robi Decking.
Grand Hotel Pool Deck on Mackinac Island
As part of a major renovation at the iconic Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Black Locust decking played a key role in enhancing one of the resort’s most cherished features: The Esther Williams Pool.
Led by the thoughtful design team at DTJ Design, the renovation respected the historic hourglass shape of the original pool while improving the surrounding topography. New parallel, curvilinear lounge terraces were introduced, providing guests with enhanced views of both the pool and the surrounding Straits of Mackinac.

One of the most stunning residential deck designs we’ve seen—crafted by the talented David Behm of David Behm Construction in Springfield, Missouri. Using our Black Locust, finished with Robi Oil, Robi Plugs and EB-TY® Premium Hidden Deck-Fastening System™ by Strongtie this deck masterpiece showcases both beauty and durability. David elevated the entire project by focusing on the handrail—an area often overlooked by many.
